Whenever you feel like making a statement with a dress, then a maxi is most certainly your best move. It is breezy and effortlessly chic, and that is why maxis should be a wardrobe staple. This maxi is one of two that I bought a few seasons ago but have not worn because I needed to alter it to my liking first.
I love the neckline and the fabric with its beautiful floral print, but the dress had a long fringe attached to the waist with a beaded motif, which I removed. I used the flounce to make the mock hollow sleeves. The lining that was used for this dress is very beautiful but heavy, so I replaced that with my favourite lining to make it lightweight and perfect for taking on holiday. I also inserted a longer side zipper so that I can slip into the dress without any effort.

The maxi dress is a stylish option for all seasons and suits all figure types. I guess I will be making one or two more to add to my collection.
