Herringbone Cape

Hello, everyone!

I found great inspiration for capes on Pinterest and decided to use my piece of herringbone for a cape rather than a coat.
The fabric is quite thick, so I opted for the unlined version.
The pattern is self-drafted.

I made bias binding from satin for all the edges.

I used my handy bias tape maker to speed things up.

For the belt loops, I made buttonholes first, then covered them with binding.

I used a flat-felled seam on the shoulder seam.

I am sure I will get quite a bit of use out of this cape during the cold winter months.

Pls share if you found this useful:

  1. Debbie This is Gorgeous!! I love the colours too. I think this will be on my “to do list” for this winter after I’m done with unpacking.
