Seascape Cushion

Step 1: Gather the following supplies:

White 100% cotton fabric, pre-washed
transparent plastic sheet or cardboard that can hold its form
A craft knife and cutting mat
Fabric paint
Stencil brush or sponge
A paper or foam plate for the paint
Masking tape
Fabric liner

Step 2: Draw or trace your chosen design on a sheet of paper.

Place the plastic sheet over the drawing and secure it to the cutting mat with the masking tape.
Cut out the stencils with the craft knife.

Step 3: Place the stencils on the fabric and secure them with masking tape.

Step 4: Dab your brush or sponge into the paint, then blot the brush on the side of the plate to remove excess paint.

Hold the brush upright and fill the inside area of the stencil with paint.
Remove the stencil and let the paint dry completely.
Use the liner pen to outline your designs.
Let it dry completely, then iron the cloth on the reverse side to set the paint.
