Hello, everyone!
In the past few years, ruffles have certainly asserted their dominance on the runways and are returning as one of the hottest trends. Ruffles on any garment create a look that is instantly chic. I used taffeta for this blouse because I knew it would create the effect on the neckline that I wanted.

Whether ruffles are on necklines, hems, sleeves, or running down the center front, they will instantly elevate any garment to the next level.

To achieve this fullness of the ruffles, I generally cut my ruffle strips twice the length of the edge on which they will be sewn. For more information, please read my post, Three Ways to Gather Fabric.

I opted for a narrow hem for the edge of the ruffle. The edge of a ruffle can also be bound with a contrasting or same-color fabric for an interesting effect.

I opted for a turn-up cuff on the sleeve to create an interesting and flattering silhouette.

Have a great week, and stay safe!
