Yellow Embroidered Shift Dress And Shrug

Hello Everyone!

Yellow is always thought of as a tricky color since it does not suit everyone. It does however remain a popular summer color that is seen year after year. Yellow is supposed to be synonymous with being a happy color. I do love a toned down, pale yellow like the one I made seen here.

It would have been nice if the manufacturer of this fabric placed the smaller motif marked here, in the centre of the two outer ones. I did however place the outer, larger motifs in the centre, since they are more obvious.

I love wearing shrugs over my sleeveless dresses. I make them all from either chiffon. or mesh fabric. This one is made from a pale cream chiffon and I used a narrow hem with the overlocker, to finish the edges off. I have already cut a white one, using this same pattern which is self-drafted. I am certainly going to draft a shorter version of this same style shrug.

That's it for now.

Have a jolly good week further!
