Pencil Skirt With Side Flounce

Hello Everyone!

I decided to make a skirt and a cowl neck top for this weeks project. I stopped wearing skirts more then two decades ago, but will continue to make them for the blog and then add it to my donation box. I used Moroccan Crepe from my fabric stash, which is ideal for dresses, skirts and suits. The cowl neck top is made from a shimmery Lycra.
I drafted the pattern to include a side flounce.

I cut the flounce in a full circle.

A flounce can be finished off with a rolled hem, made with the overlocker, or it can be lined. I decided to finish the hem off with binding for a slightly different look.

I opted for a back slit, instead of a side slit.

Have a great week further!
