A button up dress is another dress style I love. I used lightweight denim for this one and it is very comfortable and cool. The black buttons certainly gives it a bit of structure.
I decided to make a belt to complete the look. The fabric for the belt was interfaced since the fabric has a slight bit of stretch in it. To make the belt, fold one end of fabric right sides together and stitch the seam.
Press 1 cm seam allowance to wrong side of fabric.
Place belting on wrong side of fabric and machine stitch in place. Sew the opposite straight end seam to the buckle. Voila! the belt is done.
This one is a keeper!
Have a jolly good week further!
