The festive season is upon us and its time to do some Christmas decorating. It is also the time of year when we get family and friends visiting from near and far. With that comes the endless dinner parties, formal or informal. I decided on this black and blue Taffeta dress as a start. I can easily style it up or down.
I love the color combinations and the comfortable fit. I must really start laying off the afternoon tea and biscuits.
I was tempted to do something elaborate with the sleeves, but change my mind at the last minute. I prefer it plain as it is.
The pleats were stitched like darts, using the shoulder dart excess, as appose to just pressed pleats.
I also like to take the styling a notch up, depending on where we are going.
The neckline can be finished off with binding, or facing and lining.
Have a jolly good week further!
